VOA available to help Sky Valley residents

The Volunteers of America (VOA) - Sultan Branch would like to share with the community that they are open and available through the COVID-19 shutdown. The VOA operates the Sultan Food Bank, SEND Program (meal delivery for seniors and those with disabilities), and has other programs to help with payments and sheltering needs.

Lynsey Gagnon (VOA Director) and her team do a great job all year helping residents who need support. They have been rockstars through this crisis and are encouraging residents who need support to reach out to them. Their phone number is 360-793-2400 and they are open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. Call them to set up and appointment or get more information about available resources.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the community members who stepped up last week to support the food bank and SEND Program. We asked and you acted. Many of you donated food or money to help keep these programs going. I am so grateful to those who are able to pitch in during this difficult time.

If you are able, please reach out to the VOA to help support them. They continue to diligently serve our neighbors in need. As always, I am proud of this community and the never-ending love for neighbors and community, especially in the most difficult of times.
