City Responding to Snowy Weather

Monday January 13, 2020: City of Sultan crews have been working diligently since midnight to plow roads for the morning drive. We will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the day and evening. Garbage service for Monday is on schedule. Our garbage crew will be out to pickup garbage in today’s regularly scheduled zone (yellow zone).

Republic Services has notified the city that they will not be picking up recycling today. They plan on picking up doubles at no additional charge on Tuesday, Jan. 14th (weather permitting).

City Hall is open and staff are available for regular business. Please do not hesitate in calling City Hall (360-793-2231) if you have any questions or concerns regarding the weather or any other issue.

Lastly, the cold weather shelter in Monroe will be open tonight for those who lack housing. There is a bus (free of charge) to shuttle folks in Sultan to the shelter if they need it. The bus leaves city hall at 7:45 pm. Please keep this in mind and share with our less fortunate neighbors if you see them. Thank you for your patience as we work through this inclement weather.
