Animal Control


City Administrator

The City Administrator is tasked with oversight and supervision of all City departments, including Planning, Finance, and Public Works. He is responsible for carrying out policies adopted by the Sultan City Council and acts as a liaison between the City and various agencies.

Code Enforcement


Community Development

The Community Development Services Department is responsible for administration of the following programs: Long Range Planning, Building and Land, Use Permitting Business Licensing, and Code Enforcement.

Finance

The Finance Department carries out all financial transactions of the City and ensures legal and ethical compliance with those transactions. They work cooperatively with other City departments in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasting.

Fire

The City of Sultan is served by Snohomish County Fire District 5, which provides fire protection and emergency medical services to a 72-square mile area that includes Sultan and Startup.

Parks

The parks and recreation system in the City of Sultan is well used by residents and visitors alike. The variety of passive and active recreational opportunities in Sultan’s parks and open space system provides recreation opportunities for residents of different ages and abilities.

Police

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has provided law enforcement services to the City of Sultan under a police services contract since January 1, 2009.

Public Works

The Public Works Department serves the citizens of Sultan with a wide variety of services, as well as being an integral part of Sultan governmental offices. The divisions within Public Works operations and maintenance are streets, cemetery, water, sewer, garbage, and stormwater.

Utility Billing

The City of Sultan serves approximately 1,640 residential water accounts and 120 commercial water accounts. The Utility Billing Department is responsible for monthly billing and account maintenance.
