Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has provided law enforcement services to the City of Sultan under a police services contract since January 1, 2009. The County provides at least one deputy per shift to engage in patrol services exclusively within the geographical boundaries of the City, including 911 call response, proactive enforcement calls, and traffic enforcement.
East Precinct
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office East Precinct is located at 515 Main Street in downtown Sultan; the east precinct serves the entire Sky Valley region.
Services at the east precinct include concealed weapon license applications, fingerprinting services, and filing criminal complaints.
Leadership
Lieutenant Craig Hess currently serves as the Police Chief and was sworn into the position at the September 14, 2023 Council meeting.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Adam Fortney, serves almost 1 million county residents in incorporated and unincorporated Snohomish County. We keep our communities safe through partnerships, responding to emergencies, investigating crimes, proactive policing, and corrections.
