The Planning Department is dedicated to carrying out the community’s vision through:

The Department is responsible for administering the Zoning Code, Critical Area Regulations, Shoreline Master Program, Storm Water Management Manual, as well as, several other codes that are used by the City and development community to ensure that the natural and built environments are healthy, safe, and reflect the communities’ vision.

Planning Hours of Operation

Regular business hours are:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday through Friday
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please note that most land use applications are accepted by appointment only. To submit for a land use permit, please call the Planning Department at 360-793-2231.

Appointments can be scheduled:
Monday through Thursday
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
