Meet Your City Administrator
City Administrator Tyler Christian was appointed to the position in October 2023.
Tyler states, "In my role as the City Administrator of Sultan, I am committed to a multifaceted approach aimed at enriching the lives of our residents, fostering strong community bonds, and facilitating sustainable and responsible economic growth. Having previously served in various capacities within local government, I bring experience and insight relevant to my current position. Moreover, I am proud to call the Sky Valley my home, where I reside with my wonderful wife and two children.
One of my many passions outside of my professional life is skiing in our beautiful local mountains as well as enjoying as much golf as I can. These activities not only provide a source of personal fulfillment but also help me to stay in touch with the beautiful nature that surrounds us.
Beyond my personal interests, I have actively engaged with several professional organizations throughout my career. Currently, I remain committed to my roles on a national board for the American Public Works Association and the state Washington City/County Management Association. My involvement in these associations allows me to stay at the forefront of best practices and innovations in city management, ensuring that Sultan continues to thrive and adapt to the evolving needs of our residents.
I believe that strong leadership is about more than just administrative responsibilities; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and pride in our community. With a steadfast commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, I look forward to working closely with the residents and stakeholders of Sultan to continue the prosperous and harmonious future for our city."
