Community Development - Animal Control


City Hall is responsible for Animal Control, including:

  • Enforcing City animal ordinances
  • Impounding stray animals
  • Licensing animals
  • Investigating dangerous dogs and complaints of animal cruelty
  • Transportation of stray, injured, or deceased animals

Pet Licensing

Pet licensing is required in Sultan. You may purchase your license at City Hall.

Per City ordinance, any person owning a dog or cat shall procure a license for each such animal each fiscal year or any part thereof and pay a fee as required by the city adopted fee resolution or ordinance.” Animal Control ordinances can be found in Chapter 6.04 of the Sultan Municipal Code.
