Join the group of Growing Sultan Volunteers
Whether you want to keep the City clean, do office work, talk on the telephone, help people one–on-one, there’s a place for you to volunteer in Sultan.
Approximately 150 – 250 hours are donated by volunteers each month to their community. Take a look at our 2010 Volunteer Report for detailed information on volunteer hours worked and more detailed information on some of the many volunteer programs in the City.

Pictured above, Mayor Carolyn Eslick and Brian Copple
Since moving to the area 25 years ago with his wife and business partner Debbie, Brian has been a consistent volunteer in the community and surrounding Sky Valley. “I’m married to Debbie, therefore I volunteer”, Brian jokingly commented.
Brian has helped at the Sultan Summer Shindig Festival every year since they moved to Sultan.
In the 1990’s Brian worked side by side with his wife, Debbie and many other volunteers for more than 2 years, building what is now known as the Sky Valley Baseball field located at Sultan High School.
Brian volunteered to work with designers and consultants on the overall look of the Visitor Information Center located across the street from City Hall, creating the 1930’s look that the design team was seeking.
Brian is a founding member of the Sultan Education Foundation that was formed in 1993, playing a part in funding $250,000 in local scholarships and $85,000 in classroom grants for Sultan School District.
Brian installed the City of Sultan’s first surveillance camera system, every Christmas he works with the City’s Public Works Crew installing the Christmas Decorations with the assistance of his bucket truck and maintains the lights above the murals. Brian served as the Index Sportsmen President, and is the current Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce President.
