The Sultan Police Department

Serving and Protecting the Community

The mission of the Sultan police Department is to keep the community safe. Striving to provide courteous service with integrity, pride and professionalism. In 2007, the department has an operating budget of $1.02 million dollars.

In addition to law enforcement and crime prevention activities, the police department is responsible for animal control and operates a temporary animal shelter and ensure community safety and animal welfare by detaining stray and abandoned animals.

The Sultan Police department is committed to community oriented policing and problem solving by seeking partnerships with businesses, civic organizations, and neighborhoods to reduce crime and improve quality of life within the community. The department works closely with surrounding police agencies, school, and fire districts to enhance connection with the community. The department offers Neighborhood Crime Watch and other prevention and safety programs.
